Wilt Chamberlain Previously Recognized That His Happiest Times Were Outside of the NBA.
Wilt Chamberlain remains one of the most dominant players in basketball even though he departed the game in the 1970s. The large man scored baskets and grabbed rebounds as if he was the only player on the court because of his extraordinary size and power. He practically towered over the completion. Despite not experiencing the same degree of group success as Bill Russell, Wilt nonetheless managed to win two NBA titles.
Even with that achievement, Chamberlain’s happiest memories weren’t made when he was a member of the Association. In fact, he later acknowledged that giving up basketball entirely was when he was happiest.
