WHAT NEXT FOR AARONSON?…..
There have been rumors of Brenden Aaronson returning to Leeds, and more moves are anticipated after his 2023 “disaster” class.
A midfielder was demoted from the Premier League.
Currently having trouble with the Union Berlin loan
might go back to England before considering other options.
Consequently, what happened?
With much fanfare, the 23-year-old made his way to Elland Road in 2022. It is thought that he still has a lot of untapped potential. He had been a star of the Champions League at Red Bull Salzburg, but as Leeds lost ground in the Premier League, he fell from grace.

After signing a season-long loan with Bundesliga team Union Berlin, Aaronson finds himself at the losing end of the table once more, with rumors swirling that the deal may be ripped up. The USMNT star’s return to Leeds is reportedly something Daniel Farke is amenable to, and another transfer may happen in the summer of 2024.
WERE YOU AWARENESS?
“It has to be said that 2023 has been an absolute disaster for Brenden Aaronson,” says Dean Jones of GiveMeSport. When he first joined Leeds, he was brimming with optimism, but he struggled this year and felt totally ignored by Sam Allardyce. His dream of playing in the Premier League ended when Leeds was relegated. He was then loaned to Union Berlin, but that move was a complete bust as well because he hasn’t scored any goals or provided any assists. And he’s currently having discussions about returning to Leeds. I believe that in order for him and Farke to try to understand each other and what they need and want out of this, their conversations will have to be extremely candid.
And since he needs a boost to get his career back on track, I think we’ll see him thinking about moving to another club in 2024 if they are unable to come to an amicable agreement on how to collaborate.
Despite signing a contract with Leeds for £25 million ($32 million), Aaronson made 40 appearances for the team last season and scored just one goal. With a major 2024 CONCACAF Nations League and Copa America tournament for the USMNT approaching, he may need to return to England and support Leeds’ Championship promotion push in an effort to get his domestic career back on track. He hasn’t started a game for Union Berlin since October 28.
