Top 3 Trade Prospects for the Boston Bruins by the 2024 Deadline.
The Boston Bruins are prepared to make a few moves before the deadline to address some injuries or gaps from the previous summer. Let’s take a look at the top three trade candidates the Bruins have this season since they may need to bench players to carry out these moves.
Linus Ullmark
Linus Ullmark has been the subject of some growing rumors lately. Once again, the games in goal are split fairly evenly, but Jeremy Swayman has played in more and better games this season. Since he is younger, he will require a longer deal after the season ends.
With his age and cap hit, Ullmark is the obvious pick to trade, and a team doesn’t need two #1 goalies. Strong goaltending is something that certain teams really need, and Ullmark can supply it. The Bruins would benefit because it would free up space and return valuable assets that they might utilize to improve their squad this coming season.
Derek Forbort
The Bruins’ defense is already weakened by Hampus Lindholm’s absence, but given his role and cap number, Derek Forbort is still a trade option. He is on the third pairing, and the Bruins can save some money if they upgrade and move Mason Lohrei into that place. He is more likely to be relocated than Matt Grzelcyk, in my opinion.
Lysell Fabian
Given that they are in a win-now mindset, the Bruins will undoubtedly want to make a major move, so one of their better prospects, Fabian Lysell, need to be considered. Although he is having a great season in the AHL, the team isn’t interested in trading any of the young players who have participated for them this year.
