BOSTON — When the Philadelphia 76ers visited the Boston Celtics on Tuesday, they needed every player available. For the 12th consecutive game, Joel Embiid was not playing for the Sixers as they faced the NBA’s greatest squad.

Tyrese Maxey finished with 32 points and five assists, but the Sixers struggled to score again as they lost 117-99 on the road to the Celtics. Boston shot 52.7% from the field while Philadelphia only shot 39.4%.

Once more, Tobias Harris was unable to establish a rhythm. On a night the Sixers needed more from him, he finished with 13 points on only 5 of his 19 shots for the game.

Following the defeat, Harris remarked, “I just gotta stick with it.” “This shooting night is not good. It was a rough stretch for me as a player, but you have to accept those glances, project confidence around him, and maintain your progress and everything that has brought you this far.

Harris is shooting 49.9% from the field this season. He is a better shooter than what he has demonstrated lately; all he needs to do is take advantage of the opportunities that present itself.

It’s annoying, but in the end, I’m going to fight through it, find a way to improve, see the movie, and discover how to obtain some.

It annoys him, as Harris mentioned. For the most part of his career, he has been an effective player, so the Sixers need him to shake off this funk and start performing better.

At the end of the day, it is annoying when you’re not making shots,” he continued. I therefore don’t give myself any justifications. I simply go back to the drawing board, work hard, watch the movie, and come up with solutions. I’m not scared because I’ve been an extremely good and efficient player my entire career and I’ll find a way to overcome this and come out on the other side like I usually do. Even if I’m frustrated, I’ll figure it out in the end.

It is reasonable to speculate that Harris is still recovering from the left hip impingement that prevented him from playing in the final two games prior to the All-Star game.

He stated clearly, “I won’t be making any excuses. “I can give my best effort to the team when I’m playing and I’m ready to go.”

On Friday, the Sixers will host the Charlotte Hornets.
