Termination of Ndombele deal talk, praise for Spence Leeds, Tanganga nightmare – Tottenham loan delays…….
The eight Tottenham players who are currently playing their football away from Tottenham Hotspur Stadium are examined here for the most recent developments on the loan front.
Few Tottenham loan players saw much action this week, which made it a frustrating week for them. Things haven’t gone exactly as planned for a few of the players since the beginning of September, as eight of them left Tottenham Hotspur Stadium before the summer deadline in order to receive regular minutes elsewhere.
However, for some, leaving on loan has significantly improved their performance, and they are now mainstays at their new teams. How precisely did the eight under consideration get along during the previous week? Below, football.london looks.
Leeds United’s Djed Spence.
Since making his Leeds United debut last week, Spence’s career with the team is fully underway. Following his knee injury, Daniel Farke started the 23-year-old off the bench against Blackburn Rovers and Sheffield Wednesday. Last Tuesday, they lost 1-0 to Sunderland.
Starting at left-back instead of his typical position on the right, Spence was praised for “his athleticism, his pace and his ability to get up the pitch” by Sky Sports pundit Jobi McAnuff following the game.
The full-back’s performance during his 82 minutes on the field was rated at seven out of ten by Leeds Live’s player ratings. They stated: “A languid style not helped by his lack of urgency at times, but hard to ignore some vital interceptions and tackles at close quarters.”
With 78 minutes played in the 1-1 draw, the former Nottingham Forest player earned a six out of ten from Leeds Live, demonstrating that he is doing enough to maintain his position at left-back for Saturday’s home match against Coventry City. They stated: “Still working his way up to full match speed, but enough tackles and drives forward to catch the eye again.”
