Subject: Please do your best for us. Tristan Thompson exchanges concepts
The most obvious change the Celtics could make to the roster going into the offseason was to trade Kemba Walker. Before you could reply, “Wait, Brad Stevens is the President of Basketball Operations now?” it had already happened. Trading Tristan Thompson appears to be the Celtics’ most logical next step at this point.
With the addition of Al Horford and Moses Brown, the Celtics now have four centers on their roster in addition to Robert Williams and Thompson. And small-ball lineups are not even taken into consideration. Horford is elderly, of course, Williams struggles to avoid the injured list, and Moses Brown is, at best, unproven. Therefore, having a backup center on the roster would be wise. To be honest, I’m not sure if using the cap well by spending more than $40 million on centers. especially considering that the roster still needs to be filled with other voids.
This is your opportunity to resolve that matter. Provide us with some realistic trade suggestions so Brad Stevens may ship Tristan Thompson and receive a respectable return. Share your thoughts in the comments section.
