STEELERS NEWSThe Steelers Will Need Very Few Free Agents to Re-Sign in 2024

More than a dozen Pittsburgh Steelers players are set to become free agents before the 2024 offseason begins. With whom will they resign? According to Steelers insider Mark Kaboly, the team does not need to bring back any player on the list.

The Steelers have already made a few roster cuts, most recently cutting center Mason Cole, punter Pressley Harvin III, lineman Chukwuma Okorafor, and quarterback Mitch Trubisky.

The Steelers want to save costs, therefore it wouldn’t make sense for them to resign the majority of the available free agents. Miles Killebrew, Markus Golden, Kwon Alexander, Levi Wallace, Montravius Adams, and Mason Rudolph are among the most prominent free agents for the Steelers. In response to a question regarding the Steelers’ key free agents and potential returnees, Kaboly was interviewed on oneBURGH’s The Black and Gold Three Rivers Podcast featuring Ed Troup.

“I don’t believe any of them, none of them at all, are necessary to be honest with you. Killebrew would be insane not to return, and you would both love to have him back. For a person who only plays special teams, he would certainly receive a respectable rise of, say, three or four million annually.”

In fact, the Steelers would most likely rank Killebrew higher on their priority list than the other players. A player with a lot of energy and a knack for making plays, Killebrew has had his fair share of game-changing moments. Killebrew always seems to come through for the Steelers when they need a defensive or special teams game-changing play. For the first time, Pro Bowler and All-Pro has been the special.
