As the snooker argument goes on, Ali Carter is told to “shut your mouth” by Ronnie O’Sullivan’s girlfriend.
Although the Rocket defeated his opponent in the Masters final, there is still animosity between the two snooker players. Laila Rouass, the girlfriend of Ronnie O’Sullivan, advised Ali Carter to “shut your mouth and be a good boy” in the midst of their rivalry.
O’Sullivan defeated Carter in the Masters final earlier this month.
But after being accused of “snotting all over the floor” at Alexandra Palace, the Rocket launched a furious attack on his rival.
O’Sullivan is being investigated by snooker chiefs for his X-rated outburst, in which he advised Carter to “sort his f*****g life out.”
Now that Rouass has added her voice, she says Carter should “shut his mouth” and support her partner.
“About four or five years ago, Ali Carter declared that Ronnie was not capable of winning another World Championship. What action did he take? He went and triumphed “said she.
“Ali Carter, that didn’t age well, did it?
“Now shut up and act like a good guy. Pay attention to your snooker.
O’Sullivan, who suffered from illness during his Masters victory, was obviously offended by Carter’s crude remarks.
“[Carter] needs to sort his f*****g life out,” stated the 48-year-old.
“I refuse to avoid it any longer, tread carefully near someone of that caliber. He is an absolute nightmare.
It’s a nightmare to play snooker against someone like him.
“He is not a kind individual. He leaves a bad impression on everyone at the table.
“I don’t give a s**t; I’ve had my say. I’m done talking about it. You and everyone else are aware of his personality.
“He has problems. Why is he having problems with me, f*****g? I refuse to accept it.
Grow some balls, I don’t give a damn. I could not care less about any of these snooker players.
“Every time he gets on my nerves, I f*****g punish him more.
“All he’s doing is preparing his own grave. I could care less. That concludes my statement.
“Yeah, Ronnie’s entitled to his opinion of me,” Carter shot back.
“I just said what it is and how it was and I talk facts.”
He then questioned O’Sullivan’s mental health, asking, “Angry for what? No. Yes, what he says doesn’t matter to me.
“He speaks in different ways on different days, and I don’t even think he understands what will come out of his mouth when.
I genuinely have some sympathy for him because I don’t think his mental health is all that good.
WST snooker chiefs are investigating O’Sullivan’s remarks.
Furthermore, Mark Williams has acknowledged that he is “sick” of the debates surrounding the veteran.
“Unfortunately,” he remarked. “I’m tired of reading things in the newspapers.” All I want is for everyone to get together, find a private space to discuss their disagreements, and try to find a solution.
Going back and forth in the press and receiving negative coverage all the time is pointless and actually detrimental to the game.
