SMITH SELECTS SIDE TO FACE FRASERBURGH – TEAM NEWS
The Rangers Under-18s team captained by Steven Smith will play Fraserburgh in the Scottish Youth Cup final 16 this evening at Bellslea Park.
In a competition they have won twice in the past three editions, the young Gers will be looking to advance to the quarterfinals.
Rydnn McGuire, who was born in 2008, starts between the posts. Oliver Goodbrand, 14, Zander Hutton, Jack Wyllie, and captain Leyton Grant make up the backline.
Findlay Curtis, Calum Adamson, and Blaine McClure are back in the midfield after making appearances for the Northern Ireland Under-19 team.
Callum Burnside will try to be creative in between the lines, while Josh Gentles will be paired with Kieron Willox in attack.
In Fraserburgh, Alfie Halliwell, Arran Kerr, Connor Campbell, Grant Leitch, Cameron Bell, Lyle Wark, and Harry Weir are some of the replacements for the Light Blues.
