SBN Reacts: Despite having little assets, there is hope that the Suns will make a trade.
There isn’t much to do in Phoenix. Will a deal be sufficient to satisfy their roster needs?
The trade deadline is just a few hours away from midnight. or Arizona time, 1:00 p.m. You understand what I mean. It’s the eleventh hour for the Phoenix Suns if they want to trade for someone. The Suns have less appealing assets to list on the open market and no financial options.
It’s difficult for a pigeon to divert attention from those who are enthralled with the peacocks around them.
But that’s what the Suns have to accomplish. They have to put in a lot of effort to market their position and do everything within their power to bolster the roster and, ideally, elevate them to the top. Why? due to their positional opportunities and needs.
Controversy has surrounded the point guard position the whole season. Devin Booker’s shift to lead facilitator, according to some, isn’t the greatest for the group. that his effectiveness as an off-ball two-guard is higher. In response, Booker has averaged a career-high 7.1 assists per game. However, Phoenix would be relieved of some of the strain on the four-time All-Star if they could get a strong backup.
Maybe Phoenix needs a backup big, in your opinion. Someone who can contribute great rebounding to a squad that ranks 24th in offensive rebounding and 18th overall in total rebounding. Is it the athletic wing that appeals to you? Someone who fits the “3-and-D” mold and can support the bench unit in all areas of the game?
As we have stated here, the assets are restricted.
Phoenix’s firepower isn’t very strong. Even those contracts aren’t tempting, but they have several that they’d like to get out of. Yes, Nassir Little, you are in my line of sight. Draft selections? Few of those are available to the Suns, and the ones they do have are not very well-managed. Selects second-round picks and trades. Good times.
The fan base is hopeful that Phoenix will participate in the trade deadline despite the obstacles in their way. 73% of people think the Suns will deal someone.
Now we’re in the last stretch. We’ll soon find out if James Jones can accomplish anything with what little he has.
