Injury updates for Liverpool: While many of Jürgen Klopp’s players are away on international duty, a few have remained in order to try and get healthy in time for the Man City match.
The most recent and final international break of the year has left Liverpool idle for ten days. While many of Jürgen Klopp’s players are abroad representing their nations, the German manager will be hoping that everyone returns to Merseyside healthy and unscathed by serious injuries by next week.
Andy Robertson suffered such severe damage to his shoulder against Spain during the previous international break that he had surgery, so the Scottish left-back is still sidelined. On November 25, Liverpool plays Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium in a crucial match. Klopp will be praying that none of his players suffer another setback.
This season, Liverpool’s medical center isn’t as busy as it has been in the past. The minor problems that plagued some players and clogged the treatment room have mostly disappeared this time around, though the Reds still have a number of players out for an extended period of time due to long-term injuries.

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Naby Keïta, who were always absent from the team, have now left, but Thiago Alcântara has assumed the role of seemingly permanent medical department occupant. Here is the most recent information on Liverpool’s injuries and when their returns are anticipated before their November 25 matchup against Man City.
After lengthy injuries, neither Thiago nor Stefan Bajčetić have returned to Liverpool’s training. In a recent statement, Klopp mentioned Thiago, who hasn’t played since the end of April and won’t return to the field until early 2024.
According to Klopp, “it’s an ongoing thing and we cannot put any kind of pressure on there as well,” on November 3. “We expect him to be back — and I would say probably the start of the New Year.” The 2-1 victory over West Ham in the spring marked Thiago’s final Liverpool game.
