After defeating Barry Hawkins in the Masters, Ronnie O’Sullivan apologized to the Alexandra Palace crowd.
Ronnie O’Sullivan, who defeated Barry Hawkins to make it to the Masters semi-finals on Thursday, expressed regret to the assembled spectators and said he “felt sorry” for the snooker player. The Rocket moved just two games away from further Triple Crown triumph despite winning 6-3 at Alexandra Palace despite a game full of mistakes.
Though Hawkins had been playing well before to facing the seven-time Masters champion, O’Sullivan was far from his best even though he appeared to win easily.
Hawkins outperformed Neil Robertson in the opening round, but he was unable to find the same intensity against O’Sullivan, who made light of the fact that Hawkins “dragged” him down to his inferior level of play.
