Ronnie O’Sullivan say hashfull words to his famn
Ronnie O’Sullivan is practically always something other than unmissable for snooker fans, whether he’s dancing around the green felt or taking questions during press conferences.
When he brutally criticized the younger generation of snooker talent earlier this week, the five-time world champion incited the wrath of those within the sport.
Ahead of his quarterfinal at the Crucible, O’Sullivan took aim at the lack of competition, questioning why he and players like John Higgins and Mark Williams could still compete after beginning their careers more than 20 years earlier.
“People like me, John Higgins, and Mark Williams, if you look at the younger players coming through, they are not that good really,” the Essex-born athlete stated. If they were amateurs at all, the majority of them would make excellent semi-pros. They really are awful.
Many of the ones you see these days make you think, ‘I would need to lose both arms and both legs in order to drop out of the top 50.'” We are still hanging around because of how bad things are on that end.
