PHOENIX (CBS/TV3) – According to sources, the Phoenix Suns traded for four players on Thursday afternoon and acquired two more in a three-way trade with the Brooklyn Nets and Memphis Grizzlies.
Senior NBA Insider Shams Charania claims that Memphis traded forward David Roddy to the Suns in exchange for a pick. As part of the deal, power forward Royce O’Neale from the Nets was also acquired by the Suns. The Suns acquired bench players Keita Bates-Diop, Jordan Goodwin, Yuta Watanabe, and Chimezie Metu in exchange. Before the postseason, two roster places for Phoenix are still up for grabs, according to Charania.
O’Neale was moved from the Utah Jazz and has played for Brooklyn for two seasons. He has averaging about seven points and four rebounds per game thus far this season. With just two seasons under his belt, Roddy is a young player in Memphis’ lineup. He has shot 40% from the field and averaged more than eight points per game.
About the move, the Suns have not issued a statement.
Open Thread — the Final Phase: Suns trail 30 at halftime in their second consecutive knockout game
The Phoenix Suns have a remarkable knack for sending a season down to earth, don’t they?
The squad missed out on home games in the last two years when they had the opportunity to prolong their season.
The opposition didn’t appear to be alarmed in any of the previous two years. or really energised. They didn’t even take a blood sample by themselves. They did nothing more than sip the blood the Suns offered from the first tip.
If Cameron Payne hadn’t made an astounding 7 of 8 shots, including all 5 three-pointers, the Suns would most likely have been asked to forfeit. The Suns’ lackluster performance in the first half was evident as they conceded 81 points. A total of 81%. I mean, how on earth is that possible?
At halftime, Suns fans jeered them off the court, and to be honest, the jeers weren’t loud enough.
How on earth do you allow this to occur? There must be significant changes in the works. The best odds in the West to reach the Finals for two successive playoff seasons. two consecutive postseasons lost in the second round.
There’s no chance the coaching staff makes it. 90% of this roster is not going to survive. KD has to be revived by somebody. Devin Booker needs to be convinced by someone that this cannot possibly occur in a game where victory is the only option once more!
Together, let’s watch the second half.
