Is it possible for Jayson Tatum, the talented forward for the Boston Celtics, to win the NBA’s Most Valuable Player title in 2024? Jared Weiss of The Athletic joined cohost Evan Valenti on the most recent episode of the CLNS Media podcast “Celtics Beat.”
They discussed how Tatum has developed into the kind of player who is set to reach a transcendent level, but Weiss believes that he won’t win MVP this year due of his comprehension of his position on the Celtics. Tatum isn’t what the Celtics need him to be—the guy that puts up huge numbers every single night. He knows he needs to be more of a facilitator and team player if this squad is to be a championship team.
