When it comes to docuseries, the New England Patriots have “The Dynasty,” and the Boston Red Sox are headed to Netflix. However, the Celtics won’t be far behind.

During his Friday morning appearance on WEEI’s “The Greg Hill Show,” majority owner Wyc Grousbeck of Boston brought up the subject of “The Dynasty,” whose first two episodes will be available on Apple TV+. Grousbeck chose the ideal moment to make public a forthcoming media endeavor for the Celtics.

About the Celtics, I have good news to share. We are working on a multi-part, incredibly high-caliber, amazing documentary series that will ideally be similar to “The Last Dance,” but nothing formal to share just yet,” Grousbeck stated on “The Greg Hill Show.” And we’ve dug well into it. We executed agreements. It’s being processed, shot, and the archives are being searched. They have been watching the squad all season. We’ll see what transpires because it’s behind the scenes. But it’s out whether we win or lose.

The Red Sox, who are scheduled to have a Netflix documentary on their 2024 season released early next year, will have the Celtics joining them. Additionally, Netflix will produce a video about the 2004 World Series squad.

Though Grousbeck did not go into detail on a possible home for the docuseries, the camera crews picked an opportune moment to accompany the Celtics as they lead Boston into All-Star weekend. Jaylen Brown will also take part in the Slam Dunk Competition.

The Celtics’ pursuit of an NBA championship could make for entertaining television. It appears that fans will get a behind-the-scenes look into this season and potentially more in the upcoming months, depending on the subject matter of the docuseries.
