Observing the Boston Celtics from the NBA’s 2024 All-Star Game retrospective

What are our thoughts on the 2024 NBA All-Star Game, the activities that preceded it known as All-Star Week, and the performance of the Boston Celtics who were involved in both?

On the one hand, there were certain novel elements that were obviously successful, such as the extra 3-point shootout between Steph Curry of the Golden State Warriors and Sabrina Ionescu of the New York Liberty.

However, the choice to return to traditional formats that did away with goal score endings, quarterly charity contributions, and playground-style team selection failed to infuse the major game with the intended competitive fire. Is there no way to fix the NBA All-Star Game? Are there any remaining chances to preserve it?

The hosts of the “Garden Report” podcast from CLNS Media teamed up with Celtics Wire’s Cameron Tabatabaie and the “Celtics Lab” podcast to discuss the 2024 All-Star Game and the performances of Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown.
