Tex ARLINGTON. The Royals confirmed that manager Matt Quatraro will be back for Monday’s series opener against the Texas Rangers. He tested positive for COVID-19 and missed the prior five games. Beginning last Wednesday, while the Royals were playing the Toronto Blue Jays at Kauffman Stadium, Quatraro was placed under house arrest. For the last two games of that series and the next three in San Francisco, bench coach Paul Hoover handled managerial duties in an acting capacity. Out of three games played, the Royals defeated the Giants twice.
