Following Sunday’s crushing loss to the Bills, the Cowboys, who had plenty of momentum going into Week 15, quickly went from contender to pretender in the eyes of NFL fans.

Dallas, which had won its previous five games, lost 31–10 to Buffalo away from home in a match that saw Dak Prescott suffer setbacks to his chances of winning the NFL MVP award in 2023, with CeeDee Lamb and the rest of the team also having trouble.

Luckily for the Cowboys (10–4), the Falcons’ loss to the Panthers had already guaranteed them a spot in the 2023 postseason. But in the end, Buffalo (8-6) upset perceived favorites Dallas in their battle for the NFC East and the No. 1 seed in the NFC, so that victory didn’t really matter.
