Michael Jordan Would Have Been Benched Had He Played During Wilt Chamberlain’s Era, According to Wilt Chamberlain: “Michael Is Showbiz’s Ultimate”
A pair of titans in the annals of basketball history are Wilt Chamberlain and Michael Jordan. Even though the two men were among the greatest to have ever played basketball, the legendary member of the Los Angeles Lakers once claimed that if His Airness had played in his day, he would have faced a particular problem.
Basketball fans sometimes argue over who the best player to ever play professionally is, for better or worse. There isn’t much agreement among experts, but Michael Jordan and Wilt Chamberlain are acknowledged as two of the greatest players of all time.
Even though Chamberlain hasn’t played in the NBA in almost 50 years, his on-court achievements are still remembered fondly. Over his 14 seasons in the Association, the big man averaged 30.1 points and 22.9 rebounds per game, demonstrating his dominance on both sides of the court. He undoubtedly blocked a lot of shots as well, but that statistic wasn’t formally recorded during his playing career.
