Luke Humphries, the current world darts champion, nearly gave up the sport, but he has since turned into one of the greatest darts players in the planet and is aiming for tonight’s PDC World Darts Championship.
Humphries, who goes by the nickname “Cool Hand” and is naturally cool, is not your usual darts star; instead of overly celebrating, he maintains his composure and concentrates on finishing the job at hand.

It’s uncommon to see someone so quiet on the Alexandra Palace stage, but he now stands tall and has a trim build after losing four stone in recent years.
Humphries is less of a showman than 16-year-old sensation Luke Littler, and as a result, he has fallen under the radar while Littler steals the show.
But when it comes to the darts, they’re both aiming for the PDC World Darts Championship, and the “other Luke” is still the favorite to win.
Humphries is the current World Grand Prix, Player’s Championship, and Grand Slam of Darts winner.
