A question Michael Jordan posed on Scottie Pippen’s character and dedication to the team arose during the first two episodes of the documentary series “The Last Dance,” which followed the 1997–1998 Chicago Bulls and their quest for a sixth NBA championship title.
See why Michael Jordan, a star player for the Chicago Bulls, is incorrect to believe that his teammate Scottie Pippen is self-centered.

Jordan questions Pippen’s motivation in the second of ten episodes of ESPN and Netflix’s “The Last Dance,” as he postponed surgery until the first few games of the 1997–1998 campaign. Pippen had to have surgery to repair a ruptured tendon in his ankle at that time in order to resume playing.

Jordan calls Pippen out for being self-centered in the movie.

“In that situation, Scottie was incorrect,” Jordan declared. “He could have been prepared for the season by having the operation done as soon as the season ended. Scottie was attempting to coerce management into altering his contract. [General Manager of Bulls] Jerry [Krause] had no intention of doing that. I now have to begin the season.
