Recently, two guards for the Boston Celtics expressed their wish to see Blake Griffin return to the team.
It appears that Joe Mazzulla was also considering keeping the six-time NBA All-Star.
Throughout the 2022–23 season, when the Boston Celtics were just one victory away from making it to the NBA Finals for the second time in a row, Griffin was a fan and player favorite. To the dismay of Derrick White and Payton Pritchard, the 34-year-old did not play for the C’s again this season. In the most recent installment of the “Pardon My Take” podcast from Barstool Sports, White and Pritchard discussed their futile attempts to “beg” Griffin to rejoin the club.
Mazzulla was questioned by the media on Monday afternoon regarding the Celtics’ interest in Griffin and the reason it fizzled out.
