NEW YORK Before Wednesday’s season opener against the Knicks, Celtics standout Jayson Tatum took advantage of his Tuesday off in New York by joining a few other famous athletes for a unique surprise.
With the help of Yankees star Aaron Judge and Patriots great Tom Brady, Tatum surprised nine youngsters with life-threatening diseases as part of a new collaboration between Fanatics and the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
Tatum remarked, “It was wonderful to be among children who were clearly overcoming obstacles in order to be with their friends, families, and brothers and sisters.” “To see the look on their faces when we just went out to hang out with them and played basketball and football with them on the court.”
Tatum saw it as an additional chance to talk to Brady and further solidify their blossoming friendship. He said that he had initially interacted with Brady while the player was still with the Patriots and that they still keep in touch on occasion. Tatum is appreciative of it.
Tatum declared, “Tom is the best.” “He is genuinely grounded even if he has every right to be haughty and all those things. Every now and again, he texts me. He follows the athletic events. He’s simply an incredibly wonderful person, and it speaks volumes about him that he is the greatest football player of all time.
Do Brady and Tatum discuss their status as Boston sports legends? The top player for the Celtics, who is still seeking his first title, is unwilling to.
