How to get to Dubai for the World Skateboarding Tour.
More than 500 elite professionals from throughout the world are expected to attend the event.
Dubai, a city renowned for its opulent lifestyle and tall skyscrapers, is getting ready to make headlines once more. Now, in the realm of athletics. The World Skateboarding Tour is making its debut in the city from February 25 to March 10, with Dubai Harbour serving as a battleground for some of the best skateboarders in the world.
This World Skateboarding Tour leg in Dubai is important since it’s the last chance for skaters to guarantee their spots in the games, especially with the 2024 Paris Olympics approaching. Over 500 elite experts from across the world—some of whom have already arrived in Dubai—are expected to attend the event.
The itinerary is full of heart-pounding activities. The celebrations begin with the Park Pro Tour Stop on February 25 and run through March 3; the Street Pro Tour Stop follows on March 3 and runs through March 10. The Championship Class Street and Park arenas in Dubai Harbour, which are specifically designed for this purpose, will host both competitions.
The courses are built to World Skate standards and feature a wide variety of obstacles to suit different skating styles. There are several rails, ledges, and gaps on the Street course, and there’s even a captivating “best trick” segment where skaters may perform incredible stunts. In the meanwhile, there are lots of opportunities for aerial tricks on the Park course thanks to its bowling corner, jump box, and vert wall.
However, the World Skateboarding Tour aims to establish Dubai as a major worldwide sporting destination in addition to being a tournament. Dubai’s reputation as a top sports tourism destination is further cemented by its history of hosting major events.
