Dallas (KDAF) – Wishing Dallas Mavericks head coach Jason Kidd a happy birthday today is a terrific idea! The NBA Hall of Famer had a stellar career, including spending a spell as a player for the Mavericks. These days, he coaches the team he played for. The Dallas Mavericks may go by the moniker “win-streak killers” from now on. He played for Dallas on two periods (1994–1997 and 2007–2012), averaging more than 10 points, eight assists, and five rebounds per game. Kidd has led Dallas to a 44-28 record in his first season as coach.

After working as a coach for the Nets, Bucks, Lakers, and Mavs, Kidd has a 239-220 overall record. He has the Mavs in fifth place in the West going into the 2021–2022 season, and they could rise much higher in the standings before the NBA Playoffs begin.
