Devin Booker, Suns, ejected against the Pistons
Devin Booker of the Phoenix Suns got a head start in the 2024 NBA All-Star Game.
Devin Booker, a guard with the Phoenix Suns, was removed from the game against the Detroit Pistons in the first quarter after committing two technical fouls, the second of which occurred after the whistle. This means that Booker is getting an early start on his All-Star break.
Gerald Bourguet of PHNX said: “Devin Booker will be expelled after receiving his second technical foul. Frank Vogel also received one for contesting the call. Midway through the first quarter, Book’s night is over because of the incredibly tight whistle tonight. Overdoing it to make up for the pregame incident.”
Before leaving, Booker hit two of his first five field goal tries for seven points, adding an assist, a rebound, and a steal.
The only member of Phoenix’s “big three” who is available is Kevin Durant because Bradley Beal is out with a hamstring ailment. Both he and Grayson Allen had two early fouls.
In preparation for this Sunday’s 2024 NBA All-Star Game, Booker and Durant will be taking a plane to Indianapolis. Monty Williams, the head coach of Detroit and a former Sun, on Booker before the game:
Booker and Durant are flying to Indianapolis on Sunday to get ready for the 2024 NBA All-Star Game. Before the game, former Sun and Detroit head coach Monty Williams said the following about Booker:
“You recently witnessed it; he now owns a shoe. I watch it from a distance and think, ‘That was a pretty cool time in my life.'” You see what I mean when I say that you would think it was ten or twelve years, yet it was only four. In four years, he just accomplished a lot,” Williams remarked.
“I’m sure his parents, siblings, and other family members are proud of him. He works extremely hard, but he still has a ways to go. I observe his behaviors now, and I see him occasionally lose it. There’s no me over there to tell him to stop. Occasionally, he would glance at me to see if I had something to say, and I would tell him to stop. You seem to miss that, but I didn’t want to obstruct it either. You have to accept things as they come and wait for them to pass when you are among excellence.
