Producer Ronnie O’Sullivan: The Edge Of Everything is Beckham’s Studio 99, a former England football player.
Celebrities gathered to celebrate the UK premiere of David Beckham’s new documentary with British snooker legend Ronnie O’Sullivan included a number of celebrities.
Produced by Studio 99, the former England football player Beckham reveals the behind-the-scenes tale of Ronnie O’Sullivan’s pursuit for a record-tying eighth World Snooker Championship.
November 23 is when Prime Video is supposed to release it.
Alongside his son Cruz Beckham, England football player Alessia Russo, and Rolling Stones singer Ronnie Wood, Beckham led the star-studded launch at the Odeon Luxe West End in London’s Leicester Square on Tuesday while donning a navy suit.
“Some people are born with a magic touch,” Wood, 76, observed in reference to his buddy O’Sullivan.
“He may get depressed sometimes, but he has a magical way of handling life on life’s terms and channeling his energy into the sport that only he knows,” he told the PA news agency. “I love his spirit, the way he keeps coming back.”
“He simply has such a unique style of playing.
“We all know he’s had ups and downs, but we don’t all know how much, and I think this documentary will help to shed some light on that.”
On the same day that Wood attended the event, The Rolling Stones announced a North American tour in support of their most recent album, Hackney Diamonds.
According to Russo, O’Sullivan has continuously excelled under “the highest pressure” and has “left a legacy for years.”
When asked about his feelings throughout the documentary’s production, O’Sullivan said that there were “challenging times,” but he now feels “comfortable” releasing it to the public.
“I broke down. There were a lot of moments that you don’t really talk about or forget about, but when they are brought up, it really gets to you,” he said to PA.
Sam Blair, the director of the Maradona 86 short film, stated that O’Sullivan was “top” on his list of subjects for a documentary, regardless of whether they were “sportspeople” or not.
In an interview with PA, he said, “It’s just all the contradictions in Ronnie, the genius work mixed with the groundedness, the love and hate of his sport.”
I believe that Ronnie has been a source of fascination, entertainment, and confusion for many years. As a result, I felt like there was a lot more to explore as a filmmaker.
The UK debut comes after O’Sullivan, the reigning champion, pulled out of the snooker Champion of Champions competition the night before his opening match in Bolton last week.
The seven-time world champion expressed his desire to take care of his physical and emotional well-being by writing on X, formerly known as Twitter, that he was feeling “drained and stressed.”
