Chido Obi-Martin: who is she? The wonderkid from Arsenal who defeated Liverpool with ten goals

After scoring ten goals in a 14-3 victory over Liverpool Under-16s, 15-year-old Chido Obi-Martin of Arsenal may have discovered a new young talent in their academy.

Prior to the international break, Mikel Arteta made it known that he would be spending a few days off in London instead of traveling the world for vacation. After all, there are still some Arsenal players to work with at London Colney’s training facility. Chido Obi-Martin is a young player who has excelled.

The 15-year-old put up impressive numbers in the team’s Under-16 match against Liverpool this week, so the Gunners manager will have shown interest in him. The young player in question scored ten goals as Arsenal defeated the Reds 14-3 (yes, fourteen).

Obi-Martin has made four appearances for the Gunners this season, mostly at the Under-18 level. During a 4-0 victory over Southampton, he scored a hat-trick.

In addition, he played for the Gunners in both of their UEFA Youth League matches against Sevilla and came on as a substitute in Premier League 2.

The Danish child moved to the UK as a teenager after being born in Glostrup, a neighborhood outside of Copenhagen, in 2007. He is qualified to play for Nigeria and has experience playing for the youth national teams of Denmark and England. With him recently scoring seven goals in nine games for their Under-17s, including four in a 6-2 victory against Norway, it appears more likely to be Denmark right now.
