Breaking News;Joel Embiid joins elite NBA scoring club in Philadelphia 76ers victory…

Joel Embiid had yet another captivating performance to join an exclusive group of NBA players during the Philadelphia 76ers’ victory over the Minnesota Timberwolves on Wednesday.

With an impressive 51 points and 12 rebounds from Joel Embiid, the 76ers defeated the Timberwolves 127-113 to win their sixth straight game.

By achieving this, the 29-year-old broke the record held by Kareem Abdul-Jabbar in 1972, becoming the first NBA player to score at least 30 points and grab 10 rebounds in 12 straight games.

Former all-time leading scorer Abdul-Jabbar played with the Milwaukee Bucks and went on a 16-game winning streak of 30 points and 10 rebounds; the only other players to accomplish this feat at least 12 times in a row are Wilt Chamberlain, Elgin Baylor, and Walt Bellamy.

Along with Giannis Antetokounmpo, Embiid is currently one of just two players to score 50 points in several games this season, but he maintained that his individual accomplishments are only significant when they are coupled with a win.

The only thing that counts is that we’re winning. It’s fantastic to post stats and numbers are great. That is a different thing, though, if it comes with a loss. Embiid told the reporters following Wednesday’s victory, “If it comes with a win, it means a lot.”

After defeating the Timberwolves, who lead the Western Conference, the 76ers are now third in the Eastern Conference. They will play the Toronto Raptors at home on Saturday.
