Breaking news ;Leeds United player’s chances of starting again are slim….
When Djed Spence returns from injury, Leeds is reportedly not promising him a starting spot.
Spence, who is currently on loan from Tottenham Hotspur to the Championship team, has only managed to play nine minutes of football this season.
The defender, who sustained a knee injury in August, returned to the team for Wednesday’s victory over Swansea.
However, he was benched for the entire ninety minutes and did not play, much like in Saturday’s Middlesbrough match when he was also used as a substitute.
Teenage Archie Gray is currently starting to fill in at right-back, and his performances are preventing the Premier League star from being included in the starting eleven.
Spence has established himself in this division, but Leeds manager Daniel Farke has made it clear that he needs to put in more work in the gym before he can return to the starting lineup.
We don’t need to discuss his potential or quality if he works with such concentration and focus, particularly at this level of fitness, he stated, according to Leeds Live.
“He has demonstrated this to this extent, but if you improve upon it and train diligently every day, you will also be able to acquire an increasing amount of rhythm.”
