Alabama Football Recruiting: Class Predictions and the Top Remaining 2024 Prospects.

Now that the actual national signing period has begun, there are a few noteworthy storylines to keep an eye on, even though the majority of Alabama’s 2024 recruiting class is already set.

On January 10, Nick Saban unexpectedly announced his retirement, which profoundly altered the Crimson Tide’s whole offseason. Having joined the team in 2007, the 72-year-old helped build one of the most illustrious dynasties in college football history.

Though he has a solid background in developing programs, Kalen DeBoer is faced with the difficult task of succeeding Saban. In his debut season in 2020, he guided Fresno State to a.500 record; the next year, he won ten games.

DeBoer won a Pac-12 title, went 25-3 in his two seasons at Washington, and made an appearance in the College Football Playoff Championship Game in January.

The potential of DeBoer to apply his winning formula from Washington to SEC opponents will be one of the major narratives in college football for the next season.

Anticipations for National Signing Day

When Saban left, there was initially some worry about how his departure would affect the upcoming recruiting class.

Five-star wide receivers Ryan Williams and Jaime Ffrench, as well as four-star tight end Amari Niblack, left the Crimson Tide almost immediately after the decision.

Niblack resumed recruiting and soon after made a commitment to Texas. As a member of the recruiting class of 2025, Ffrench still has time to be persuaded to stay by DeBoer and his team. Competition for his services is fierce.

For Ffrench, Texas A&M seems to be a formidable opponent. The native of Jacksonville also shared a photo of himself that he took at Mandarin (Fla.) High School with LSU co-offensive coordinators Joe Sloan and Cortez Hankton.

Even with the competition from SEC colleges, Alabama is working hard to win back Ffrench. He has scheduled a visit to the campus and has met with the coaching staff.

On January 24, Williams recommitted to Alabama. That was a major victory for DeBoer to keep him in Tuscaloosa and away from the Crimson Tide’s main SEC rivals, since he was also considering Auburn, LSU, and Texas A&M.

Despite a few departures from the 2024 class, DeBoer was still able to attract elite players thanks to his ties in Washington. Four-star edge rusher Noah Carter, who had committed to the Huskies initially, changed his mind and visited Tuscaloosa on an official visit.
