On the “Vlad TV” program, Dominique Wilkins recently discussed his memories playing against fellow Boston HoFer Larry Bird. Wilkins, also known as “The Human Highlight Reel,” remembered their first meeting on the court when he tried to shake Bird’s hand prior to the game as a rookie.
Nevertheless, “The Hick From French Lick” declined and began disparaging his opponent from the Atlanta Hawks right away. Even though the encounter shocked him at first, Wilkins fought hard against Bird in the years that followed, eventually winning his respect.
