‘Rolls Royce’ of Coventry City is praised as Ben Sheaf completes the Millwall victory…..

The most recent Coventry City news from CoventryLive: the Sky Blues win for the first time in seven games thanks to goals from Matt Godden, Tatsuhiro Sakamoto, and Sheaf.

After Matt Godden’s goal put Coventry City ahead 3-0 at The Den, Joe Edwards lost his first game in charge of Millwall.

Midway through a thrilling first half that had the potential to go either way, the top scorer for the Sky Blues gave his team the lead. Following the interval, Tatsuhiro Sakamoto and Ben Sheaf ensured Coventry’s second away victory of the Sky Bet Championship season.

Early on, the Lions were ahead owing to the chaos that right-back Brooke Norton-Cuffy was causing. The Arsenal loanee won a free kick in the Sky Blues’ half moments after whipping a delicious ball into Coventry’s box in the second minute.

Still, the first shot on goal went to the visitors. Josh Eccles’ superb pass put Haji Wright through on goal, but Bartosz BiaÅ‚kowski’s even better save kept the forward out of the goal.

First, Millwall’s George Honeyman hit the woodwork with a bold attempt from the right wing, and then Norton-Cuffy’s driven shot from the edge of the box went inches wide of the post.

The Sky Blues broke the deadlock despite the early pressure. In the 30th minute, Godden scored by tapping the ball into the back of an empty Millwall net. This was Godden’s fastest response after Wright forced another fine save from BiaÅ‚kowski.
