Michael Jordan and Larry Bird were being guarded by a white man when Charles Barkley describes how they became upset, saying, “I’m just offended out here.”

The way Charles Barkley’s team was protecting Michael Jordan and Larry Bird infuriated them.

Michael Jordan and Larry Bird, two of the greatest basketball players of all time, faced off against Charles Barkley. Chuck claimed that the only two players who took offense when a white man was their guard were Bird and Michael Jordan.

If a white man was watching them, that was a problem.
Barkley recollected, “I remember one time, we were playing the Celtics,” according to BarstoolSportsTV. “I spoke with Larry. He was incredible. At this time, it was my team. After Doc and Moses have left, Larry asks, “Chuck, may I speak with you again?” “Sure, what’s up, LB?” I asked. ‘Yo, man, y’all being disrespectful to me,’ he says. “Larry, I would never allow one of my players to act disrespectfully,” I said. Yes, you guys are being impolite, he said. ‘What are we doing?’ I asked. ‘Y’all got a white guy attempting to guard me,’ he continued. “What?” is how I feel.

Barkley went on, “I was told that by only two guys.” Michael and him. One game, Michael said to me, “Yo man, y’all… Here, I’ve just been insulted. There are white guys attempting to protect me, y’all.”
