NBA Abu Dhabi Games will include two preseason games between the Celtics and Nuggets…
Both Abu Dhabi and London — The Boston Celtics, the 17-time NBA champion, and the Denver Nuggets, the current NBA champion, will play two preseason games in Abu Dhabi on Friday, October 4, and Sunday, October 6, 2024. This announcement was made by the NBA and the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi (DCT Abu Dhabi).
Currently, the Celtics have three-time NBA All-Star Jayson Tatum and five-time All-Star Jayson Tatum. Jaylen Brown, Jrue Holiday, the 2021 NBA champion, and Kristaps PorziņIJis, the 2018 NBA All-Star. Holiday was a member of the Milwaukee Bucks team that took part in the first NBA Abu Dhabi Games in 2022. Currently, Nikola Jokić, a six-time NBA All-Star and two-time Kia NBA Most Valuable Player, plays for the Nuggets alongside Jamal Murray and Aaron Gordon.
More than 200 nations and territories will be able to watch the NBA Abu Dhabi Games 2024 live on television, digital media, and social media. The event will be broadcast live in the United Arab Emirates, throughout the Middle East, and worldwide.
A multiyear partnership between the NBA and DCT Abu Dhabi includes the NBA Abu Dhabi Games 2024, as well as the preseason NBA Global Games, the Jr. NBA Abu Dhabi League, a number of interactive fan events with NBA players in attendance, a run of NBA FIT clinics promoting wellness and health, and an NBA 2K League exhibition game. As part of the partnership, DCT Abu Dhabi will act as the NBA’s official travel destination partner throughout the Middle East, North Africa, Europe, and China under the auspices of Experience Abu Dhabi, the capital of the United Arab Emirates’ tourism promotion program.
