‘We’re 2 of the Hungriest Players in the NBA,’ says Jayson Tatum of the Celtics of Jaylen Brown.

Jaylen Brown and Jayson Tatum have self-confidence.

One of the main factors in the Boston Celtics’ amazing 48-12 record—the greatest in the NBA—has been their pair. Tatum thinks that what distinguishes them from other celebrity duos in the association is their mutual drive to do better.

According to The Players’ Tribune, Tatum stated, “We try and take the same approach going into this season: I’m getting better and he’s getting better.” It’s not as though we’re not changing. Two of the league’s most ravenous players are us.”

Due to their consecutive draft selections with the No. 3 overall choice, the two All-Stars have been teammates since 2017. They have grown together and have qualified for the playoffs every year they have played in the league.

Even though they got the Boston Celtics to Game 6 of the 2022 NBA Finals before losing to the Golden State Warriors, Tatum and Brown haven’t been able to win a championship. With guys like Kristaps Porzingis and Derrick White playing well in supporting roles in 2023–24, it’s not difficult to envision the Celtics making another strong run in the postseason.

Despite being teammates for seven years, Brown and Tatum have both continued to improve their effectiveness. From the field, they are shooting 50.2 percent and 47.8 percent, respectively. Those percentages are for their respective careers’ best results.

“Everything we do, we compete in a good way — I’m pushing him, we play one-on-one after practice,” Tatum stated. “I feel that what we should do next is.

The pair have continued to dominate opponents, leading the Celtics to their third 50-point win of the season during a 140-88 rout of the Warriors on Sunday.
