Notable feat accomplished by Mike Tomlin for the first time in a decade.

Throughout his time as an NFL head coach, Mike Tomlin of the Steelers has, at best, a sporadic challenge record. However, following the game on Saturday, he is currently a perfect four out of seven for the year in 2023. However, two of those were during that victory over the Bengals.

On anyone’s bingo card, did Mike Tomlin win two challenges? If so, what you witnessed was a once-in-a-decade event. Alez Kozora claims that since 2013 against the Bengals, Tomlin has not won two challenges in a single game. This is the kind of stuff that makes for Christmas miracles. This squad seems to succeed whenever things went well, and to Tomlin’s credit, he took a great catch by Andrei Iosivias off the.

In the big picture, it may not seem like much, but it is significant nonetheless, and the team must accept it going forward. On Saturday, it seemed like Tomlin managed the game better than Zac Taylor. Tomlin ended the first half with a lot of aggression. Tomlin’s job was made so much easier by the complimentary football they played, but he still performed far better than he did the previous week.

Tomlin remarked, “We talked about scared money don’t make money.” “We approached this week with that mindset.”

That aggression turned out to be his beacon on Saturday night. He needs to give it more of an embrace throughout the season. Tomlin’s faith in his players gives them confidence, and they are capable of making plays. Everything.

Although Tomlin is not perfect and this team still has challenges, he deserves praise for organizing an undermanned team and getting them ready for action. He now needs to carry that momentum into their next two games.
