After the Wizards win, Joe Mazzulla likens the Celtics to Spider-Man.

Boston — Following the Celtics’ victory over the Wizards, a recurring motif regarding the C’s emerged. Joe Mazzulla, the coach of the Boston Celtics, likened his squad to the movie Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, in which several incarnations of Spider-Man make appearances throughout the story.

Mazzulla also made an intriguing comparison between his team and that film.

Observed Spider-Man before? Reaching the Spider-Verse?” Mazzulla enquired. “There were, what, twenty different Spider-Men?” That is similar to our group. Every night’s definition of success will be different, and I believe the players are doing a fantastic job of figuring out what that balance is. As long as our strategy for attacking the opposing team is sound and aligned with what’s best for

After the win, Jayson Tatum brought up the Spider-Man link without being asked, suggesting that Mazzulla’s words had an impact on his teammates. Even though the Celtics defeated the Wizards 133-129, their performance wasn’t flawless throughout. The C’s had to overcome a 71-point deficit in the first half thanks to their poor play. Nevertheless, they had some success as they defeated the Wizards 36–16 in the third quarter.

We had to clearly step up our defensive game in the second half after they scored 71 points in the first, according to Tatum. We needed to play defense everywhere we went and have some Spider-Man instincts. He was encouraging, even though that was a bit too much. Although the game is long, I believe the run was somewhat ignited in the third quarter.

During halftime, Mazzulla told a joke, so it wasn’t simply his words. He claimed to have demonstrated to the group about ten manageable transition points involving effort. Apart from that, Mazzulla claimed he made an effort to lighten the mood by cracking jokes. He was unable to pinpoint the jokes’ exact content due to their inappropriateness.

Given the well-established nature of his “The Town” following, Mazzulla seems to be enjoying his movie. To make his point, he chose Spider-Man this time. And the Celtics’ comeback to win the game suggests that it’s working. They will now try to settle down for the last three games prior to the All-Star break and enjoy a week off.

Tatum stated, “I think tonight was good.” “Keep looking for methods to succeed. Even if we may not have shot the ball as effectively as we could have in the first half, we are still losing and it feels much worse than it is when we glance up to see that we are only down two in the third quarter. Joe informed us during a timeout.
