Super Bowl 2024: Christian McCaffrey is “not happy” after the 49ers team hotel in Las Vegas experiences a fire alarm.

The fire alarm went off at around six in the morning at the San Francisco 49ers’ team hotel on the outskirts of Las Vegas on Thursday, giving the squad a bit of a harsh awakening. The ringing did carry on for almost eighteen minutes, giving everyone within the hotel an unavoidable wake-up call, even though engineers determined it was a false alarm and the property did not need to be evacuated.

The alarm going off didn’t appear to affect other players too much, such tight end George Kittle, but as he went down for breakfast and talked to some of his teammates, he noticed that two individuals in particular were irritated: pass rusher Nick Bosa and running back Christian McCaffrey.

After conducting a casual survey among his teammates to determine who was the grumpiest, Kittle stated, via ESPN, “It had to be them.” “You don’t want to startle the bear into waking up. However, Christian was also not content.”

Indeed, McCaffrey hinted that he didn’t think the alert was an accident and that there might have been some gamesmanship involved.

“I don’t think it’s random,” McCaffrey stated. That’s a component of it. It’s merely fueling the fire with additional wood.”

Bosa concurred with McCaffrey and mentioned that during their travels, there had been other strange hotel coincidences.

“Someone did it, for sure,” Bosa declared. “It made me think of Philly during the time when construction was taking place outside.” They were breaking down a bridge opposite our hotel in the early hours of the morning. Our luck hasn’t been the best. However, make no excuses.”

The 49ers have had an odd week as they prepare to play the Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl LVIII. According to CBS Sports Lead NFL Insider Jonathan Jones, the team was not just concerned about the alarm at their hotel but also expressed disapproval towards the UNLV practice field. They nonetheless decided to remain at the campus in order to get ready for the championship game on Sunday.
