After a short break over the Christmas season, the famous Masters tournament at Alexandra Palace will mark the return of snooker in 2024.
Players advance by their world ranking rankings, and it is one of the three championships that make up the Triple Crown, together with the UK Championship and the World Championship.

Ali Carter defeated Judd Trump in the quarterfinals, and the former was hoping to retain the 2023 title he gained over Mark Williams in the championship match of the previous year.

In the UK Championship final last month, Ronnie O’Sullivan, who is looking for a seventh Masters title, achieved that elusive figure by defeating Ding Junhui 10-7.
At Alexandra Palace, the two faced off in the opening round. Despite Ding’s outstanding 147, O’Sullivan advanced to the final eight.
After defeating Barry Hawkins to advance to the final four, O’Sullivan defeated Shaun Murphy to advance to the championship match, where he would face Carter.
In the opening round, defending world champion Luca Brecel was defeated by Jack Lisowski.

THE MASTERS ARE WHEN AND WHERE?
Alexandra Palace will host the competition beginning on January 7. January 14, one week later, is the final.
‘Sixth sense’ O’Sullivan has for safety play is a tremendous asset – McManus
Murphy on O’Sullivan: “I cringe when he talks sometimes.”
