Ronnie O’Sullivan calls Alexandra Palace “disgusting” and declares, “I can’t wait to get out of here.”

Ronnie O’Sullivan has expressed his disapproval at Alexandra Palace without holding back, calling the Masters site “disgusting” and said, “To be honest, I can’t wait to get out of here.”

Despite not quite being at peak condition just yet, the Rocket is vying for an eighth Masters championship and has advanced to the semi-finals after defeating Ding Junhui and Barry Hawkins.

Even though the world number one defeated Hawkins 6-3 on Thursday afternoon, he was not pleased with the location of the storied competition.

O’Sullivan made a shocking criticism on the renowned venue when he told The Express, “To be honest, I just find this place disgusting.”

It’s chilly, everything is filthy, and I’m freezing. I’m gonna sit here in my jacket. There are bins wherever you go, as you pass past parking lots.

I’m not sure whether you’ve noticed the media catering section over there. To be honest with you, the leftover food and other items make me feel sick.

I’m a little bit of a neat freak. To be honest, I can’t wait to leave this place since it gives me the creeps. I apologize, but it is how I feel.

A statement from World Snooker Tour read: ‘We work alongside Alexandra Palace to offer the best possible circumstances for players on and off the table. Every other participant has expressed satisfaction with the location in unison. Visitors adore visiting here.

Record ticket sales and the fact that every seat for general admission sold out before this year’s tournament serve as evidence of this.

“We’ve been proud of the overwhelming positive feedback the venue has received in recent years,” an Alexandra Palace spokeswoman continued. “It’s obviously disappointing that Ronnie feels differently.” We’re hoping that we can convince him otherwise and that he has fun playing this event through.

Shaun Murphy and O’Sullivan will square off in the semifinals at Ally Pally on Saturday after the Magician defeated Jack Lisowski 6-3 on Thursday night.
