David Luiz and Emilinano Martinez were two of the Arsenal players back in the gym on Monday for the first practice following lockdown at their Colney facility.

The Gunners were allowed to train independently on their own grounds with their own allocated balls after being separated from their headquarters for 47 days owing to coronavirus limitations.

Every senior team member had to travel alone. Martinez arrived at the St. Albans facility in his red Ferrari convertible, while Luiz was seen arriving shortly after.

As the players returned, Emiliano Martinez drove up to Arsenal’s training facility in his convertible.

Balls, cones and training gear were seen scattered on the pristine turf while one player set about performing running drills.

Each member of the senior squad had to travel alone and Emilio Martinez pulled up in his convertible red Corvette while David Luiz was pictured rolling up to the facility near St Albans shortly afterwards.

Alexandre Lacazette was among the first group with the French striker driving into work in his Mercedes.

And Hector Bellerin was also among the stars snapped behind the wheel as he wore earphones while entering Colney while Pablo Mari was kitted out in a patterned jumper.

The Premier League has been asked by the government to attempt to resume play by June in order to improve the national mood, and Arsenal’s return to action—albeit a solitary one—is a positive step in that direction.

On Monday, West Ham said that they would let their players practice at their facility, which is modeled like Arsenal’s, and Brighton also planned to open up. Tottenham and Chelsea are thinking about making similar moves.

Since March 13, the Premier League has been halted; nonetheless, in an effort to complete the current season, games are scheduled to take place behind closed doors.
