Aston Villa team news confirmed vs Man Utd

Birmingham’s Aston Villa newsWatch live as Unai Emery announces his team to play Manchester United at Old Trafford in the Premier League.

Unai Emery, the head coach of Aston Villa, has announced his starting lineup for tonight’s 8 p.m. kickoff against Manchester United at Old Trafford.

He has chosen to start Diego Carlos and Leander Dendoncker, two different players from the team that played Sheffield United last Friday. Pau Torres, who has recovered from an injury, is one of the replacements for tonight’s game.

Tonight, Villa takes on United, which has dropped four of their previous seven home league games, in an attempt to win their 13th league title of the year. This season, Erik ten Hag’s team has also dropped 13 games across all competitions, which is a record for most losses before Christmas since 1930.

Villa come into the game on the back of a 1-1 draw with Sheffield United at Villa Park and have picked up seven points from their last nine available on the road. There are currently 11 points separating Villa and United before kick-off.

Behind a defense that includes Lucas Digne, Clement Lenglet, Carlos, and Ezri Konsa, Emi Martinez takes the field at first. Dendoncker will be the midfield partner of Douglas Luiz.

Leon Bailey will assist Ollie Watkins in attack, with John McGinn playing from the right and Jacob Ramsey from the left.

Martinez, Konsa, Carlos, Lenglet, Digne, Dendoncker, Luiz, McGinn, Ramsey, Bailey, Watkins, and Watkins make up the Villa XI.
