Kyren Wilson, ranked 10th in the world, will compete in the qualifying round for the 2024 German Masters at Sheffield’s Ponds Forge International Sports Centre.
Both Gary Wilson and Noppon Saengkham, the opponent he defeated in the final, return to the big draw after winning the 2023 Scottish Open in Edinburgh.

WHAT TIME IS IT TO APPLY TO BE A GERMAN MASTER?
Starting on Monday, December 18, and lasting until Friday, December 22, is the first round of qualifying.
Up until the week of the competition, eight qualifying matches have also been scheduled. These matches feature the top eight players in the world, including UK champion Ronnie O’Sullivan and last year’s victor Ali Carter.

IN THE GERMAN MASTERS QUALIFYING, WHO IS PLAYING?
In the first round of qualifying, a number of elite players will compete, including Oliver Lines, who is always getting better, and world No. 10 Kyren Wilson.
Gary Wilson, who won the Scottish Open the previous year, doesn’t have much time to celebrate as he faces Scott Donaldson, and Noppon Saengkham, who finished second in Edinburgh, goes up against Ashley Carty.
Other intriguing matches pit Hossein Vafaei against Mink Nutcharat and Ding Junhui against Yan Sijun, as well as Zhang Anda against Mostafa Dorgham, are featured.

In the New Year, there will be an additional qualifying round in which the matches of the top eight seeds will all take place in Berlin on January 29.
This features Michael White against the reigning champion Ali Carter, Ronnie O’Sullivan versus Julien Leclercq, Judd Trump versus Lukas Kleckers, and Luca Brecel versus Ishpreet Singh Chadha.
WHAT IS THE PROGRAMME FOR THE QUALIFICATION OF GERMAN MASTERS?
Monday, December 18 is the first day of qualifying, which continues through Friday, December 22.

Sessions for those matches will begin at 10 a.m., 2.30 p.m., and 7 p.m., respectively. They will be played as best-of-nine matches.

WHEN IS THE PRIZE EVENT FOR GERMAN MASTERS?
The 2024 German Masters is slated to begin on January 29 in Berlin and conclude on February 4 in Berlin.

In Berlin, prize money totalling £427,000 is up for grabs. It is separated according to this format:
£80,000 was won.

Final 32: £4,500
Final 64: £3,000.
Maximum deviation: £5,000
