We are getting very close to the postseason in week 15 of the 2023 NFL season, with the Dallas Cowboys leading the NFC East.

After the decisive 20-point victory over the Philadelphia Eagles, not much more needs to be said.

With their decisive 33-13 victory, Dallas sent a strong message to the NFL that they are a team that is here to stay.

We have heard supporters of that green team claim repeatedly this season that the Cowboys have not beaten a team with a winning record.

Is defeating your 10-2 squad sufficient for you?

After putting Philadelphia behind them, the Cowboys head to the Northeast to play the Buffalo Bills (7-6).

The Bills need to win big against the Chiefs in order to have any chance of making the playoffs.

The Bills are a dangerous team that can score points in large quantities despite their record.

In addition, their defense has significantly improved in recent weeks, and they are a formidable opponent at home.

I’d like to go over three Dallas vs. Buffalo head-to-head games today, including the one in which Josh Allen will start for the Bills at quarterback.

Josh Allen Ruins Thanksgiving
When: November 28, 2019
Where: Arlington, Texas’s AT&T Stadium
Outcome: DAL 15, BUF 26

There are two reasons this game is on the list.

It was, first and foremost, the Cowboys and Bills’ final game together.

Secondly, it’s the only meeting between Josh Allen and Dak Prescott at quarterback thus far.

The Cowboys got off to a fast start in this game, covering 75 yards in nine plays, with Prescott and Jason Witten connecting for an eight-yard touchdown pass to cap the drive.

To get the ball back for the offense, Dallas even went full circle and put Josh Allen and the 8-3 Bills in a punting situation.

But that success would not last long.

The following eight offensive drives for the Cowboys resulted in punts, interceptions, fumbles, blocked field goals, missed field goals, and turnovers on downs, all of which prevented the team from scoring.

With little more than eight minutes remaining in the game, the Bills took an overwhelming 26-7 lead after scoring 26 straight points in response.

Cole Beasley, a former Cowboy, lit up the Dallas defense with eight receptions for 110 yards and a touchdown.

On a trick play that ended in a touchdown, another wide receiver for the Bills would blow the game wide open.

Quick After what looked to be an end-around, John Brown handed off to RB Devin Singletary, who scored a 28-yard touchdown to give Buffalo a lead they would not let up.

Finally, on their last drive, Dallas would score again thanks to a touchdown pass from Prescott to wide receiver Ventrell Bryant.

The two-point try would go in and the score would end up 26-15.

In addition to the offense performing below expectations, Allen’s athleticism overwhelmed the defense.

He was able to find open wide receivers and break out of the pocket frequently, finishing 80% of his passes for 259 yards and two touchdowns overall.

Dallas lacked almost the.

Tony Romo Glows
When: November 13, 2011 Where: Arlington, Texas’s Cowboys Stadium
Result: BUF 7, DAL 44

I did not include a 2015 game between these two teams in this piece.

Although Tony Romo, the starting quarterback for the Cowboys, suffered two broken collarbones that ended his season, the team lost 15–6 even with Kellen Moore starting at quarterback.

The Cowboys’ last meeting with the Bills occurred in November 2011, a game Dallas easily won. That was before 2015.

Despite playing most of the snaps, Romo’s quarterback rating (148.4) at the end of the game was his fourth-highest of his career.

With two interceptions and a 43-yard return to paydirt, Terence Newman had a career day.

That would result in a final score of 44-7 for the day’s scoring.

Cowboys Win Despite Six Turnovers
When: October 8, 2007.
Where: New York’s Orchard Park, Ralph Wilson Stadium
Result: BUF 24, DAL 25

All ardent Dallas Cowboys supporters will never forget this game.

There were many head-shaking moments in the game, mostly from Tony Romo, but it concluded with one of the greatest comebacks in NFL history.

In addition to throwing a loss of fumble, Romo threw an incredible five interceptions.

That night, Romo and the Cowboys were blessed by the football gods, as a team that has a turnover margin of minus five is nearly guaranteed to lose.

At the beginning of the fourth quarter, Dallas was behind 24–16 after all the chaos.

With less than a minute remaining in the game, the Cowboys were prevented from reaching the endzone by the Bills defense, which continued to put pressure on them.

Romo found Patrick Crayton for a touchdown at the four-yard line, but Terrell Owens, the wide receiver, was ripped out of the two-point attempt.

With 20 seconds remaining in the game, K Nick Folk of the Cowboys trotted out for the onside kick, but Dallas was able to recover.

After a few tense plays, Folk took the field once more. For a 52-yard game-winning field goal this time.

Folk successfully placed the kick down the middle, but before the snap, Buffalo head coach Dick Jauron called a timeout, causing the whistles to go off.

Not to worry. With poise, Folk scored on his second try just as easily as he had on his first, and Dallas emerged victorious in an unlikely victory.

We are in for a treat if the game on Sunday is anything like the thrilling 25-24 match.
