Kinlaw’s (knee) status on the 49ers’ injury report from Tuesday was indicated as restricted.
Although Kinlaw’s knee ailment has been bothering him, he was cleared to participate in all three of the regular season’s final games after being activated from injured reserve on December 23. In Week 18, the 25-year-old did participate in 42% of San Francisco’s defensive snaps, which was his highest percentage of playing time since coming off injured reserve. Arik Armstead, a defensive tackle, is also battling with chronic problems to his foot and ankle, so it will be important to keep an eye on both of them before Saturday’s wild-card game against Seattle.
